Smart Grid Gotland – Team meeting
Dear friends,
The Viking island of Gotland is hosting the Tournesol team for a couple of days, and what a feast for the eyes! The sun followed us as we are walking to the offices of GEAB, the local DSO company to follow the team meeting of SmartGrid Gotland.
GEAB (GEAB is a joint-venture between Vattenfall and the Gotland municipality) welcomed us in their office and we could meet the entire project team of Smart Grid Gotland. We are not telling more now, as the interviews will be posted soon, but the team that we had the incredible chance to interview basically gave us the blueprint of how to deploy a project like Gotland. Thank you so much to the team for giving us their time and attention.
The next morning, it was back to the GEAB offices to interview Björn Axelsson, the grid management department. Our conversation was especially interesting because it gave us an insight in what it takes to manage at the same time a pilot project of the size of Smart Grid Gotland and to ensure a quality service to the consumers of the island. If you want to know more, the interview will be posted shortly. Not to give away too much, but it takes a lot of skills and dedication from the local team.
A big thank you to the team of GEAB, the Gotland project and the people of Visby for having us.
